Join us as we hear from a panel of Chicago area Turkish entrepreneurs about their successes and challenges as Turkish business persons, as we begin to build supports and encourage community building.  Following the panel will be light refreshments and an opportunity to network with other Turks running or supporting businesses in Chicagoland.  This event will culminate in a Turkish business directory to be listed on our website as a resource for those within and outside of the Turkish community.  Let’s come together to help support one another!

A family celebration of a national holiday in Türkiye denoting National Sovereignty and Children’s Day that falls on April 23, 2026.  This day commemorates the foundation of the National Assembly, which marked the official declaration of the new sovereign nation, declared for the first time in 1924 by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Atatürk also dedicated this holiday as a gift to children, showing his respect and hope in future generations of children to carry on these ideals of the new republic.   Our event will be family oriented with hands-on kid activities, samples of Turkish cuisine, and some cultural sharing and artifacts to peruse.
